Do You Have a Faith That Can Move Mountains?

    Today's Theme

    Living With Transforming, Mountain-Moving Faith

    Scripture
    Galatians 2:20 (NIV) (NLT)

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

    Matthew 17:20 (NIV) (NLT)

"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

    Reflection

Faith isn't simply belief—it's surrender. Paul says he was crucified with Christ so that Jesus could live through him. That kind of faith doesn't just acknowledge Jesus—it makes Him the center of everything. This is faith that transforms us from the inside out.

Jesus asked this question again and again during His ministry: *Do you believe?* He wasn't just asking if people believed He existed. He was asking if they believed He could do what seemed impossible—heal the broken, raise the dead, forgive the worst of sinners, and turn despair into hope.

That kind of faith isn't loud or flashy—it can be as small as a mustard seed. But when it's real, it connects us to the power of God, who breathes life into dry bones and calls light out of darkness. Jesus consistently sought out the hopeless, the ashamed, and the cast-out—not because they were strong, but because they were ready to believe.

True faith is more than confidence—it's relationship. It's trust in the character of God. And like Paul, we can access that kind of faith when we let go of ourselves, our strength, our pride, and our control—and let Christ live in us.

    Family Application

    - Ask Together: What would it look like if Jesus truly lived through us? How would that change our words, actions, or choices today?

    - Faith in Action: Identify one small "mountain" in your life this week—something that feels too big—and pray together about it, trusting God to move.

    - Encourage Openness: Create space for family members to share areas where they struggle to believe, and support each other with grace and Scripture.

    Prayer

Jesus, we want the kind of faith that moves mountains—not because we are strong, but because You are. Help us surrender our lives so that You can live through us. Teach us to trust You in our weakness, to believe when it's hard, and to stand in confidence on Your promises. Breathe new life into our hearts today. In Your name we pray, Amen.
